Some things can’t be automated.
Like reknitting a hole so precisely you’d never know it was there.
At FXRY, we sometimes harvest yarn directly from the sweaters we repair. That means gently unraveling a hidden thread from a seam or hem and using it to mend the damaged area. This allows us to create invisible repairs that blend perfectly with the original knit. It’s slow, skilled, and deeply human work, something no algorithm or machine could ever replicate.
We can’t always do this, but when the fibers allow, the results are remarkable.
This Jenni Kayne sweater, one of their best-selling styles (and a moth’s favorite), came to us with a small hole. Our team carefully reknitted the area using its own yarn, restoring it to like-new condition.
Completely invisible. Completely human.
